Loving to Learn
Read Time - 5 Minutes
Anything is possible
I love to learn. I've always wanted to understand how and why things work. In recent years, I have consistently focused on maximizing my time dedicated to learning new skills. Numerous people, books, courses, and other resources have helped me acquire these skills. However, the people I have met and learned from have been the most impactful.
I learned a lot by putting together this website. I learned more about NextJS' app router, server actions, and new APIs. I fixed performance issues, accessibility problems, and more.
I will also continue to learn as I add new features. I will be working on security tests, more interactivity, language translations, global search, and anything else that makes this site a better resource to help others grow with me.
Over the past decade, I've learned:
- How to read and reconcile financial statements.
- How securities work.
- Sales techniques and theory.
- Language patterns.
- Leadership strategies.
- Modern web development.
- Design patterns.
- SEO.
- Analytics.
- Integrating technology.
- Project management strategies.
- Web3 tech.
- Enterprise-scale CRM build-out strategy.
- And much more.
Most of my resources have been free or cost less than a cup of coffee daily. What's even more impressive than the fact that these resources were free or cost very little is that more and more people continue to create even better resources for learning new skills every day.
It's a remarkable world we live in. If you have the drive, you can learn how to do nearly anything, with time being the leading resource you have to invest.
2016 - 2023
My love for learning and spending time with others who share this passion has helped us create multiple organizations I am proud to have participated in over the past decade.
Real Estate
I was the Rookie Sales Associate of the Year at Keller Williams Gulfside in 2016. More importantly, I realized the dream of homeownership for my family that year and helped many other families buy or invest in their real estate. Every single one of those families learned new skills together with me. So did many of my associates at Keller Williams.
My mentors at Keller Williams within the Ubaldini Brokerages were crucial to helping expedite my personal development and success. I'm eternally grateful for those early mentors. I continued in real estate sales as my primary focus until early 2020.
Photography and 3D Imaging
In 2020, I started a photography business with a fellow sales associate. This company quickly began helping 100+ clients per month in just a few months and has been profitable since the close of the first month.
Marketing Agency and Education
Between 2020 and 2021, I co-founded a marketing agency and merged it with a training and content company. Our combined Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) grew from approximately $30,000 to $120,000 in less than a year. Together, we assisted thousands of business owners in enhancing their conversion rates, reducing lead acquisition costs, improving lead quality, and mastering technology to increase efficiency rather than hinder it.
This experience also provided valuable insights into my personal growth. I learned valuable lessons about leadership, communication, and expanding my capacity. The most significant lesson was how quickly one can acquire new knowledge when faced with urgent learning needs.
Marketing + Operations Consulting and Software Development
Midway through 2021, I co-founded OmniLocal, a marketing and consulting agency, and our proprietary analytics and reputation management software alongside a couple of great friends. This endeavor has assisted many small businesses in enhancing their customer experience, reputation, responsiveness to leads, the acquisition of inbound leads, revenue growth, and net profit.
At the end of 2021, I partnered with a friend to establish Blue Sky Roofing, a tech-forward construction company. This venture has demonstrated the results of applying my range of operating and marketing skills and strong partnerships, all while raising the industry standard for employee and customer experiences. We've served nearly 1,000 clients, generated over $13,000,000 in revenue, and earned 500+ 5-star reviews.
My purpose in sharing all this is to inspire and grow alongside others. By sharing my journey, I hope to instill confidence in people that they can achieve seemingly improbable goals. I take great pride in what both I and others have accomplished, and my ultimate goal is to empower others to learn new skills and experience that same sense of pride in their achievements.
In the Future
In the future, I would love to continue learning even more. I would love to solve more problems, create even better career opportunities, and, most importantly, help even more people learn new skills with me. The amazing thing about assisting others to learn new skills is that no one can take those skills from them. Compound interest is undoubtedly an amazing concept to understand and realize for the first time, but compound skill development is even more impactful.
This personal website will serve as a channel where I will delve deeper into some of the experiences I've shared above. It will also share experiences from the future as well. I've already created a Reading section that shares some books, courses, communities, and people who have helped me in my learning and entrepreneurial journey. I'll continuously add to that and post content in this article section.
